B' ewe Halloween Card

I just love this card.  The sheep shaped card is not my original idea, it has been around for a bit but not sure who the original designer was.  I just changed it from white and black to orange and Black to make it a halloween card and B, ewe to the front instead of Boo.  Sorry about the "B" not how i wanted it to be but knew i had to use a different style of font than the "ewe"  and my letter stamps were either way too big or didnt look right.  Hope you enjoyed my card. 
I used rough type alphabert for the "ewe" and embossed it with black ep with silver sparkles and added them with a dimensional.  Any other questions feel free to ask.

PPA #21 - Male Christmas Card

I created this card for The Paper Players Challnge.  I wanted to try this color combe for a while (I used choc chip, night of navy and whisper white.
The navy background with the white squares is a piece of dsp from the presto patterns Specialty dsp that i brayed with night of navy ink.
The snowflake i embossed the Simple Snowflake stamp in white on navy cs and punched out with the snowflake punch.  To the center I added a 5/16 choc chip brad and attached to a piece of white cs
The sentiment is from the Teeny tiny wishes and punched out with a large oval punch.  I then punched out a lg oval from choc chip and night of navy cardstock and cut them in half and layered them onto the sides. I attached the shite oval using dimensionals.
I used 3/4" choc chip ribbon.

Ghost and Pumpkin Treat Holder

I cased the idea of turning the treat holder die from the Holiday Mini into a flat bottom from Julie -Please see her blog for instructions of how to turn it into a box

I changed her ghost so it was more feminine by adding a happy smile and eyelashes
The ghost face is made by 1/4 black punched circles and hi-lighted with a white gel pen and added eyelashes with a basic black marker and tied 1/8 pumpkin pie tafetta ribbon into a bow.  The mouth is simply half of a 1/2" circle punch.

The Pumpkin was made with Pumpkin Pie cardstock and embossing the face from the carved and candlelite stamp set (retired -but there is a face in the current catalogue that would work in its place)

Instructions for this card
Paper - base - brushed gold (standard size), cherry cobbler (3" x3"), whisper white (2 3/4" x 2 3/4")
Stamps - teeny tiny wishes, and Trim the Tree (2 step stamp , retired)
 Ink - forest foliage, versa mark, and yellow and chocolate chip markers
Acessories - rhinestones, gold ep, stamp a ma jig
Tools - modern day label punch, scallop punch, baby wipes, score pal(paper cutter with score blade or bone folder)
1) One at a time center easch square and punch scallop punch on each side, the white square will then easily slip under the cherry on two sides
2) score two lines 1/4" apart near bottom of card
3) stamp tree on white cardstock (i removed the green ink from the trunk and star using a baby wipe, and color those areas with markers), then stamp again with versa mark and gold ep for the decoration
4) Stamp phrase on white and punch out with label punch
5) punch out a label punch from cherry cobbler and cut in half
6) Apply rhinestone to end of each cherry piece and glue behind the white label
7) Add 3 rhinestones to each side of the scored area
8) Add a rhinestone to each corner of the cherry square
9) Assemble card

Acorn Punch Art - PPA64

I cased the acorn from a fellow stamper named Frenchie (http://www.frenchiestamps.com/) and just simplified it since i didnt have any linen thread to make hair and a bow.
The acorn is made with the ornament punch and the top is from the lg oval - punch it out then move punch up on the cut out and punch out the hat
I also used the log cabin smooch spritz on the creamy caramelbackground
I used mellow moss for the base of the card -sorry it looks way better in person than it does on camera
I also used the pumpkin pie brad from the glimmer brads in the holiday mini

SNOWMAN Card Instructions

INSTRUCTIONS
1) Base card- 8.5" x 5.5" folded in half
2) Background-Whisper white 5.25"x4
    - brayer a little over half of the card stock with bashful blue, then brayer again starting closer to the top with night of navy and work your way down
   -sponge the edges in a cirlular motion with craft white ink -also do the inside with same making sure to work lightly apply craft ink to sponge and work in big circles
   -place doodle dots with a white gel pen to make snowflakes
   -draw a starwith gold Zigg pen (be careful as ink comes out fast)

3) TREE-freehand the tree on garden green cs and do the same for the stem in chocolate cs, and the snow in white cs
   -glue trunk to tree and free hand stems with chocolate chip marker
  -apply white gel pen to stems
  -sponge in circulare motion the edges of the tree with sponge lightly inked with craft white ink
  -for snow place paper directly on versa mark to ink
 - emboss with iridescent ice and glue to tree with a dimensional

4) Snow Banks
    -with a seperate piece of card stock measuring 4"in width tear 3 snowdriftsand sponge the torn edges with bashfulblue ink

5) SNOWMAN
- punch 1/3/8"and 1 3/4" circlesout of white cs and sponge edges with bashful blue ink
-apply 3 red pearls to larger cirlce
-smaller circle apply 2  eye  (1/4" circles)and use white gel pen to highlight the eyes
-freehand a carrot nose
- use black marker and makes dots the shape of the mouth
-brim of hat basic black 1.5" x 1/4", top of hat 1.5"x 1", real red 1"x 1/4" and draw buckle with black marker
-glue pieces together

FINAL Step
glue all components together to complete your card

Spoonful of Sugar Challenge 125 - Winter Wonderland

I created this card for a winter wonderland theme - of course had to have a snowman and iridescent ice embossed snow.  I sed night of navy and red brads for a little embellishment - the faux stitching between the separated card stocks didnt work so well.  by 3 year said "Wow - pretty" when he saw the finished card, so i am happy with the results lol.

Technique - Chalk Lines

I love my chalks - i have all the colors available to me at an affordable price.  I made this card to try the chalk lines technique.  The only change i made to the technique was instead of rubbing my chalks around the cardstock in circular motions i rubbed them in alternating rectangles across the paper (only orange and black).  There are great web tutorials of this technique on you tube - type in stampin up chalk lines.  I then threw the card together with some basic punch art.  Hope this inspires you to take out your chalks

TIP - when i use my chalks -to prevent smearing and finger prints i spray the cardstock after with a sealant used by artists for pastels and charcoal drawings - it is very toxic and must be used outdoors but works well.

The Paper Players challenge #19

The Paper players challenge this week is red, black and white.  All i did for this card was to stample Stipple Roses (ret) stamp set in red and then on another paper black.  I cut the red flowers out and glued then on top of the black image where they belonged and just added 3 pearls and decided not to over do this card as i feel the great color combo is enough to WOW.

Origami Box

Sorry for the quality of the photos - my good camera was left out in the rain :( i embossed the snowflake with white embossing powder with silver sparkle in it.  i also covered the sides with scraps to cover up some of the fold lines.   There was a lot of folding for this box but once it was all done it was fun to see how quick and easy it all went together without a drop of glue.  The finished box is 2 x 2x1
You use 2 pieces of 6x6 DSP or cardstock - cardstock is a little thick and difficult to work with

You can also use 12x12 paper to make a bigger box

I reversed the scalop square on the sketch since i don thave the die and used a piece of chipboard and did a very simple card using pretty in pink and rose red inks and paper, the bow was from the dollar sore.  i used the stamp sets Trim the Tree and the sentiment an old snowman set (frosty?)

MOJO Monday 159

This card i used postively pink and tempting turquoise.  I used SU stamp set snowflakes and riveting.  I used bright glitter brads from the current holiday mini.  I used versa mark for the snowflakes around the outside and white embossing for the larger snowflake.  I also used a fiskars dry emboss for the bottom of the white section  which doesnt show well in the photo (sorry)

The Paper Players - challenge 18

Here is a monochromatic card i did for The Paper Players challenge. - I used an retired flower SU punch, tempting turquoise and night of navy cardstock, tempting turq brad and white brads, scallop punch, circle punch and tempting turq ribbon.

Composition Book

This is my first altered compostion book.  I saw a video showing how to do this by Chic N Scratch and decided to make my version.  I used a wild wasabi retired DSP and concord crush for the spine.  I used the SU punch with the three flowers (ret) to punch out the flowers from the scrap DSP and added pearls.

Mojo monday 158

This is my post for my entry into Mojo Monday Challenge - my photographing of cards is still not the best, so my appology on the photo not being the best quality.

I used a faux tearing technique and a retired stamp from SU snowflakes set.  I also used a retired DSP.  I used bashful blue and night of navy card stock and embossed the snowflake with iridescent ice embossing powder.

MY first Post

This is my first post.  My first card is a Thomas the train card i made for my sons 4th birthday - I used several circle punches and word window punch and just cut the square and rectangle pieces to look like thomas - i free handed with a black marker the nose, smile, eyebrows which does not show up well in the pic.  I will have more to share but just learning how to post.  Enjoy!
